Leak Off Test

Prinsipnya LOT (leak off test) dilakukan untuk menentukan tekanan dimana formasi mulai rekah. Tujuannya: 1. Menentukan MASP (Max. Allowable Surface Pressure). Yaitu batasan max surface pressure yg boleh kita terapkan selama drilling operation, tanpa mengakibatkan formasi rekah (fracture). 2. Dengan mengetahui MASP, berarti juga kita bisa mengetahui Max. mud weight yg boleh kita terapkan selama drilling operation, tanpa mengakibatkan formasi rekah (fracture). 3. Menentukan Kick Tolerance.
