Vacancy Sr. Process Engineer and Process Engineer in KBR Indonesia

To fulfill the requirements in the recently awarded Projects, the Jakarta Engineering Office seeks talented and experienced Indonesian nationals to fill the following positions
:
 
 
PROCESS ENGINEER
The individual would have a degree in Chemical Engineering, 3 – 7 years of experience in process engineering for oil and gas facilities, both onshore and offshore, including in pre-project, feasibility, conceptual studies and detailed design.
Principal Accountabilities:
  • Prepare design work to ensure it meets industry standards and regulations, company procedure, and is consistent with the project objectives of safety, operability, reliability, cost effectiveness
Should have knowledge of:
  • Process simulation of physical fluid properties.
  • Detailed knowledge of the basic data and phase behaviors; equations of states, phase envelopes of gas and oil components.
  • Simulation of steady state modeling & steady state multi-phase flow using computer software.
  • Development of PFD/UFD, material balances, and P&ID
  • Development of process calculation of hydraulic, pumps, heat transfer, separation, relief system design including flare system, blow down and low temperature study
  • Development of process datasheet of equipment and instrumentation.
  • Specification of control philosophies; fail-safe actions of control valves and the measurement of material balances.
  • Development of SAFE chart, ESD Logic Diagram, Cause and Effect Matrix Diagram
  • Process engineering software (Hysys, Pipesim/Pipephase, Flarenet etc)
SR / LEAD PROCESS ENGINEER
The individual would have a degree in Chemical Engineering, preferably 10+ years of experience in process engineering for oil and gas facilities, both onshore and offshore, including 3-5 years in pre-project, feasibility, conceptual studies and detailed design.
Principal Accountabilities:
  • Review and prepare design work to ensure it meets industry standards and regulations, company procedure, and is consistent with the project objectives of safety, operability, reliability, cost effectiveness
  • Manage the consultants working in his/her area of responsibility to ensure that they are working to the appropriate level of efficiency and within the allocated schedule and budget.
  • Ability to lead and function as part of a multi-disciplinary engineering team to maintain clear understanding of design issues, progress and objectives is required.
Should have knowledge of:
  • Process simulation of physical fluid properties.
  • Detailed knowledge of the basic data and phase behaviors; equations of states, phase envelopes of gas and oil components.
  • Simulation of steady state modeling & steady state multi-phase flow using computer software.
  • Design of appropriate systems to meet the Required Throughput Specifications.
  • Development of PFD/UFD, material balances, and P&ID
  • Development of process calculation of hydraulic, pumps, heat transfer, separation, relief system design including flare system, blow down and low temperature study
  • Development of process datasheet of equipment and instrumentation.
  • Specification of control philosophies; fail-safe actions of control valves and the measurement of material balances.
  • Specification and design of Process Shutdown, Emergency Shutdown and Instrumented Protective Function safeguarding systems.
  • Development of SAFE chart, ESD Logic Diagram, Cause and Effect Matrix Diagram
  • Process engineering software (Hysys, Pipesim/Pipephase, Flarenet etc)
  • HAZOP/SIL review including action close-out.
GENERAL REQUIREMENTS
1.  Good command of both written and spoken English & Bahasa Indonesia
2.  Good communication skills and team player
3.  Good HSE Awareness and Trustworthy
4.  Willing to take overseas Assignment

Electric Power Factor

Katanya jika power factor kecil maka tidak effisien pada generator, trafo, dan system distribusi? Kondisinya begini, plant saya punya electric generator sendiri (tidak beli dari PLN). Pembangkit berupa 5 buah gas turbin generator masing masing 2 MW. Sebagian besar (hampir semua) konsumen listrik adalah motor induksi sehingga power factor kecil kisaran 0.5-0.6 (terbaca di generator control panel). Apakah dengan meningkatkan power factor maka: 1 Saya bisa meningkatkan effisiensi energi listrik saya (baca:menurunkan konsumsi fuel gas untuk generator)? 2. Saya bisa mengurangi jumlah generator yang beroperasi?
